DD214 to Hired stores the email you use to sign in, the resume and announcement text you submit to the builders, pass and usage records, and product analytics events (free translation, checker, signup, checkout, and paid generation).
We do not ask for, and you should not paste, a Social Security number, a DD-214, an SF-15, a VA award letter, medical records, or classified information. If you paste that material anyway, delete the draft and do not continue. There is no upload field for those documents.
Magic links expire after 30 minutes. Session cookies are httpOnly. Stripe processes payment if you check out; we store the Checkout session id and the pass it grants, not your card number.
If AI_API_KEY is set, the text you submit for a draft can be sent to that OpenAI-compatible provider. If the key is absent, drafts stay on this server and use the deterministic writer. If RESEND_API_KEY is absent, sign-in links are shown on screen and no email is sent.
Analytics events are stored in this product's database. They are not sold, and they are not sent to a third-party analytics vendor. A first-party cookie stores an anonymous visitor id and a short visit id so page views can be tied to the free tools, sign-in, and checkout. The first page view also stores the landing path, the referring site (without its query string), campaign parameters such as utm_source, and ad click ids such as gclid. Those values are not your email. Sign-in events store an attempt id so a started sign-in can be matched to the completed one. If the browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, browsing measurements are skipped. Sign-in and payment records are still stored so the account can work. The anonymous id is also how the free ATS score is counted, so that cookie can still be set when you use the score.
This product is not a government system and is not covered by a claim of VA, DoD, OPM, or USAJOBS affiliation.
